POWERTRON's Standard Series Tap Box

Standard Series

POWERTRON’s Standard Series Tap Box is the most commonly used and is considered the most basic style. It is typically employed for providing temporary power or load banking a permanent generator. The Standard Series Tap Box is often used in conjunction with other equipment such as breaker panels, transfer switches, and other switchgear.

POWERTRON's Breaker Series Tap Box

Breaker Series

POWERTRON’s Breaker Series Tap Box offers an upgrade from the Standard Series. This series is commonly used when a breaker or switching device is not directly connected downstream. Facilities such as hospitals, data centers, and major water/wastewater treatment centers may prefer this more redundant system. Additionally, having a breaker inside the tap box can enhance safety during operation and maintenance.

POWERTRON's MTS Series Tap Box

MTS Series

Given that most tap box applications require power switching, POWERTRON’s MTS Series Tap Box is the ideal choice for controllability between two power sources. Traditionally, tap boxes and manual transfer switches were separate pieces of equipment, leading to increased installation costs, a larger bill of materials (B.O.M.), and more space requirements. The MTS Series Tap Box offers a 2-in-1 solution, making it ideal for smaller commercial facilities ranging from 200A to 1200A.
