Scheduling Assistant

We are looking for a Scheduling Assistant to start as a temporary associate. We are a manufacturer of electrical products and your expertise and leadership will help us to grow, scale and continuously evolve.

Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain and Operations, you will be responsible for centrally organizing and coordinating production schedules, capacity planning and assisting with purchasing and logistics when needed.

The ideal candidate brings a growth mindset to help continuously improve, learn from mistakes and openly bring new ideas to the table. You have computer skills, basic microsoft excel knowledge, understanding of inventory control or ERP systems, and understanding of manufacturing processes.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Nokomis IL. Operating hours are M-F from 8-4:30. Pay negotiable, based on qualifications. Temporary worker for minimum of 3 months. Could turn into a full-time benefit eligible position.

Responsibilities

  • Identify shortages parts and personnel to complete the production schedule
  • Monitors production to make sure we are meeting our productivity needs and goals.
  • Organize job travelers and orders for production groups
  • Coordinates shipping product to customers, label printing and scheduling freight carriers, packing slips
  • Proficiently uses Ronk’s ERP system to achieve job related requirements
  • Attends to details and specifics around production efforts and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.
  • Assists with inventory monitoring and buying; placing Purchase Orders.
  • Assists in expediting and following open on open Purchase orders
  • Create reports as needed to support production flow
  • Completes other work and tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably experience with supply chain.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to obtain a forklift certification
  • Preferred knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Experience with ERP or inventory control/ production planning systems
  • Knowledge of basic mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Communicates well with others and views teamwork as essential.
  • Is consistently looking for ways to improve and establish new best practices; empowers people to be curious and innovative.

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
