Production Coordinator

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join the Ronk team! We are a manufacturer of electrical products and your expertise and leadership will help us to grow, scale and continuously evolve.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Operations, you will be responsible for centrally organizing and coordinating production schedules, capacity planning and assisting with logistics team.

The ideal candidate brings a growth mindset to help continuously improve, learn from mistakes and openly bring new ideas to the table. You have computer skills, basic microsoft excel knowledge, and understanding of manufacturing processes.

This is a full-time position located at our headquarters in Nokomis IL. Operating hours are M-F from 8-4:30. Pay negotiable, based on qualifications.

Position Responsibilities

• Reviews job requests, sales orders, and manages sales team inquiries.
• Issues and updates the production schedules and coordinates work with and of appropriate department staff so that sales order jobs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Identifies, coordinates, and ensures the availability of materials and supplies to point of use.
• Monitors and recommends Make to Order lead time projections.
• Assists with WIP counts as required for inventory tracking purposes.
• Helps to draft, develop, and implement cost-effective manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure that production is within applicable standards.
• Helps to assist in the RMA process at the plant production facility.
• Creates and manages reports on shipping, receiving, production schedules, KPIs etc
• Coordinates all shipping and receiving procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications ( Education and Experience)

• Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, including experience with production or assembly work.
• Communicates well with others and views teamwork as essential.
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain a forklift certification.
• Preferred knowledge of spreadsheets
• Is consistently looking for ways to improve and establish new best practices; empowers people to be curious and innovative.

Physical Ability and Requirements

• Has the ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
• Can sit for upright for 5-6 hours per day
• Ability to walk / move around the facility with ease to monitor production line and stockroom.
• Possesses strong visual acuity and manual dexterity
