The ECONO-PHASE Shifter is a high-efficiency power converter designed for pump jack applications where Design D high-slip motors are used. It significantly reduces electric pumping start-up costs on smaller wells. Unlike single phase oil well motors, which are limited in size and more costly, this unit enables the use of standard three phase motors available in a broader range of ratings. Thanks to its run capacitor design, the ECONO-PHASE converter can generally operate most motors at full load and sustain ¾ load continuously, with special capacitors managing high peak voltages during over-speed conditions.
